  3. a followup

    https://mkvtoolnix.download/windows/continuous/64-bit/75.0.0/

the link is to a fixer version which seems to accompany all toolnix versions since 67 or so.

I tried loading that but the error returns. Is there a way to just get the dgix dll from someplace? this is apparently known error.

  5. I can see the needed dxgi dll showing in the Toolnix main folder with Inviska the shortcus and all the rest. I don't know if it has to be moved or updated.

  6. Official versions of MKVToolNix require Windows 10 or above since version 65 because of Qt6.
You can find third party builds with Qt5 in this thread: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/405407-NON-OFFICIAL-Windows-builds-of-MKVtoolnix/p...e4#post2681027

Thanks, I will try that. For the time being I put up an old version called 35. My needs are very simple with this program. But I like to have Inviska and MKVCutter handy as well.

I have a Win10 and am making a new PC build where that OS will be required. To stop all this wheel-spinning Moritz (I think that's his name) might add a note to the error message.

    What is Qt6?

  8. It was a good solution. I think everything is back: toolnix, inviska and mkvcutter.

    Gratitude for the prompt reply.

I will have to remember to update from videohelp. Will the Q5 be on the list with the versions to come?

Official builds were using Qt5 which is Windows 7 compatible, but now the developer has switched to Qt6 which requires Windows 10 and he said he won't go back to Qt5.
