quite right, I apologize to you and alwyn, I must have seemed snarky; I'm getting older here's the png:

But, selur's did seem to transcend many of the same issues.

Ah, accidental double post. But yes, absolutely correct regarding jpeg artifacts. I grabbed this using obs and webcam using the screenshot (preview) function. Interestingly, the webcam creates some grain and seems to have some temporal dsp built in which creates a bit of latency.

Nice in the still images; but anything with fine patterns begins to ghost. That too is a hard thing to fix. I combatted it by bringing contrast on the cam's hardware way down, avoiding gain entirely; and all automatic functions. I did, however - turn on full exposure.

To mimic sharpening, with the lut after the fact; I increase the black in a few channels.

I may have gone a little too far with the saturation adjustment. But there's no way to know exactly what the colors should be.

  4. Handling banding, macro blocking, in general should be separated from color adjustments.

But there's no way to know exactly what the colors should be.
I agree, for all we know the walls could be green.

I was using a logitech hd c920s before, nice cam, but it obviously uses an older board design with a facial recognition chip built-in which is operating at a different frequency. Too bad it stutters.

The lut that I provided in obs works realtime, so given that; I really saw no reason to go back to using the logitech.
Speaking of interesting camera ideas, I will be buying a cheap drone and using it's 8k cam and mounting it to a tripod. I'll be making youtube videos about mixing music with it soon and some commercial edm music stuff.

I will be using my apartment as a set soon, but need to get pieces of thin wood to adhere a cheap board that I can put dark iron-like brushed steel wallpaper on. I dj, and am planning to release an album, using the alias LE Attol. Here's the design for that:

Need a fog machine, some angel wing lazers; and some led strips to create an audio analyzer lightwall.

    I have the mask:

but need to get the cob 12v led strips for the helm. The rest of the suit is already ordered, but the pants and shoes.
