Thanks. I've been using 'ad-keyword' because of an error every so many segments. I figured it's commercials, but it screws up the merging with errors and gaps. Tried using some headers but it doesn't help.

Would like to know how you clipped the ads though. Tried "--ad-keyword atp" instead but still get the same error. Only your .mpd seems to work.

Is this an issue with N_m3u8DL-RE? Did you manually delete those segments?

yeah i manually delete all ads
from <period duration ...>not showing any ContentProtection </period> just hightlight then delete, just take a minute to do this

I did this again tonight and noticed that if I use a manually edited mpd file, when the video starts downloading it says:

Pretty sure that's where things go wrong since the parts don't get decoded. I have no idea why it seems to ignore the key when ad blocking.
I tried adding "--custom-hls-method CENC" to see if that would fix it. It does not.
Probably a bug in the beta ad-keyword options.

Edit: Is there a way to force decryption or manually decrypt? I assume that has to be done before binary merge which happens automatically.
