Hello


Still trying to get to the bottom of why some of my purchased DVDS playback so badly, slow jerky and awful ??

yet other when ripped playback as if they were in a normal DVD player

Albeit DVD quality is so bad anyway on todays HD Screens

but why have some of my DVDs I have purchased been mastered so they playback so bad, jeryky frame rates etc


They play back bad in VLC player and also on my zidoo HD3000 £1000 media player, yet other DVDs playback as expected




So below are two DVD info files, the first one plays back as expected and the second plays back jerky and blurry

so lets see what the difference is ??

So what is the difference as to why one would playback bad and the other DVD to playback fine ??


the main thing I have noticed is



is the good one is Format settings, picture structure : Frame

and the bad one is

Format settings, picture structure : Field




could this be why the software and hardware players playback differently ??


also could the bad Format settings, picture structure : Field, remuxed to frame if this is the reason



why would the DVD original mastering use frame / field ???

what is the difference??


thanks for any info, as this is really bugging me as I have many purchased DVDs that playback real bad when ripped ??
