Hi
I'm a brain-limited ***: please you have to give yourself a reason. If possible.
And however
So I wonder: is there a way to associate files mxf avi mov mp4 ts mpeg mpg --> to VLC via commandline, and in Windows![]()
thanks

Right click on file. Select Open With -> Choose Another App, even if VLC is already in the list. Then:
If VLC shows up in the list: select it and tick Always Use This App... Press OK.
If VLC doesn't show up in the list: scroll to the end of the list and select Choose More Apps. Hopefully VLC will now be in the list. Choose it and tick Always Use This App... Press OK.

Being a cat, he should know these mouse-clicks (Boom ! Boom!) and could have achieved the goal in a matter of seconds without waiting for a 'saucer of milk'

Why ?
You associate one video type once each. Done ! (even if you open them via cmd)
