tring to rip dvd but get data error cyclic_redundancy check

got scorpion king on dvd but am unable to rip it in any way that will turn out a decent backup copy . i have tried many ways with smartripper but this just gave an error message to me i then tried other ways with dvd2avi like getting the vobs straight for source but all attemps just did not work.the only way that has worked is using dvdx and the quality was poor compared to the good dvd .as the dvd was single layer i even tried to copy using nero as the disc was not encrypyed but this also gave an error.
if anyone has any ideas then please help as this is doing my head in

the other thing was does anyone know of a program like clonecd the can make an image of dvds or is there a way to make clonecd work on dvds

well....scorpion king is still out in theaters...so you possibly couldn't have a retail copy of the dvd..

it must be a dvd screener or someone authored a TS, TC version of it onto a DVD...it could just be poorly authored...

if you're sure it's not encrypted, you can just use windows explorer and copy the vobs to your hdd (assuming there are no multi-angles)
