When capturing using VirtualDub AVI 480by480 yuy2- cd audio - huff codec the output file is enormously huge. A 2hour movie is around 30gigs. I'm making svcds out of these. Is there anyway that has similar quality results without having a super huge file when done? Could someone recomend some other codecs or compression techniques that would cut the output size down a little bit but have quality results?
I'm capturing to a 30gig slave drive and with the above settings cannot complete a 2hour movie.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

What about capturing using a M-JPEG codec? It is lossy but the quality is still very good depending on the level of compression. I capture 352x480 at 4:1 compression ratio (can't see much difference between this and HUFFYUV) and an hour worth of video is around 9 gig.
