  2. yes, basically everything changes how crf reacts,...
    "crf X + setting y" will result in different output than "crf X + setting z"

    Yes, filesize, quality and the time required for encoding (encoding speed).

  4. I don't remember where I read it. It was a while. It said that one of the devs said that it's pretty much negligible. From very slow down to fast there's no change and from fast to ultrafast there are some parameters that turn on and off but still it's nothing to write home about as CRF number takes control of almost everything.

    Just trying to get better understanding what actually happens.
