When you render your vid with CRF, do presets (fast, medium, slow) actually affect anything?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

yes, basically everything changes how crf reacts,...
"crf X + setting y" will result in different output than "crf X + setting z"users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555 -

I don't remember where I read it. It was a while. It said that one of the devs said that it's pretty much negligible. From very slow down to fast there's no change and from fast to ultrafast there are some parameters that turn on and off but still it's nothing to write home about as CRF number takes control of almost everything.
Just trying to get better understanding what actually happens. -
There a lot of info here about the video properties that get set with the various presets.
As to what they mean and do, you'll have to research that
