trying to join some osbournes mpg episodes.. plz read

i've got 9 osbourne episodes.. all mpg-1 video and mpg2 224kbit audio. anyway so i'm joining them in groups of 3 to burn to vcd.. 7,8 and 9 i merged and burned fine (used tmpgenc to merge using mpg1 video cd type, and burned with nero 5.5.8.0). however for some reason when i merge 1 2 and 3, the resulting mpg has problems in the first episode with the audio cutting out.. however when i play episode 1 mpg by itself it's fine. any idea what i can do to fix this or waht could be going wrong?

Why you need to join?
Just burn like a simple play sequence 1->2->3, so you can use de next button
