VRT Max - Getting key

Hi,

Getting the MPD of a VRT Max video is easy, but how can I get the key?

If i have the key is it correct to run this command to download the video?

N_m3u8DL-RE -M format=mp4 --key <KEY> "<URL MPD>" --save-name <OUTPUT_NAME>

I joined that Discord and the admin told me he wouldn't let me in to find that script.

Edit : What lomero says below is true. I had actually already seen the code in several threads here, I just didn't put it in the right place. It's more of a Python issue than anything, you need to know how your scripts are working and it can be confusing without a little guidance and some research. I manage to get the keys I need now.

If you can get hold of your own CDM (there is a thread on here that shows how to get it from Android Studio) I have an app that will allow you to download/decrypt videos from VRT Max as well as other Flemish TV station websites (VRT Max, VTM Go, GoPlay and Streamz are supported).

Hi Karoolus, anyway to explain the app? I got hold of my own CDM, i have the correct PSSH, mpd reference, license url and even token but somehow it can't get to gain knowledge to configure the right headers in py-file. Seems custom for VRT but don't see how to configure. I found a topic to convert raw binary to array but my basic python lets me down on it.

I have my own CDM in Android Studio, and I already tried to follow instructions from all kinds of different sites. I managed to download and decrypt a video from https://bitmovin.com/demos/drm, but I am missing some information to download content from VRT Max. Such an app, or at least some comprehensive instructions, would certainly be helpful.
