conversion issues

I'm having conversion issues again with Any Video Converter. I cannot find the transcode log file in program files or the user folders.

The log (avc.log) is saved in the \data sub folder of the AVC main directory in either \program files, \program files(x86) or your portable location
if you're using that

It looks like it's enumerating the acceleration options and looking for updates

I managed to sort of find the issue. It converts fine, but when I add a subtitle, it immediately fails. It's weird because I never update anything.

Try adding a different subtitle to make sure it's not the sub.

Also, I tried the release of Xmedia Recode that is current today, 3.5.7.3, and it finally seems to work.
Perhaps give it a try, there's a portable version

Filter tab/resolution.
The interface is a little weird, takes a bit of getting used to

The converted video works in windows, but cannot play on the PS3. Additionally I prefer hardcoded subtitles. Looks like AVC is the only way to convert and hard encode ASS subs. Thank you for your help.

It can certainly burn them in, whether the program has all the adjustments you need, you'll have to look.
Instead of the susbtitle tab I used filter/subtitles
