Gomplayer image capturing

I use gomplayer to burst capture images of videos I play and lately it has been giving "another screen capture in process" when there isn't one running. I have to uninstall and reinstall the program to get it to work again as even closing the program and restarting the pc won't help. Anyone knows what is causing this or if I should try an older version? Or does anyone know of a video player that does burst capture imaging. Thanks.

It seems to happen more so with 4k video files.
