I am a newbie which I am trying to find out how to download the stream from hydrax.
I do not understand on how to find the link embedded as there is no m3u8 files.This thread post https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/407245-download-problem-with-playhydrax is old.

Please guide me on step by step how do I need to find the link to download the video.Thank you

I had never use tubedigger.The RecMode mode on trial will not work with the limitation of 4MB and barely record 30 seconds of 1080p.
Checking though the older thread https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/407245-download-problem-with-playhydrax , LAZZ did not recommend any application and use a free software stream link.

I do wish to know how to obtain the link from hydrax , while I do understand it maybe complicated for beginner.How do I obtain and finding the hidden hls link ?

It is a record type ?
The extension did not work.
1) The playback can not be set which is not refer as video

So I've stumbled upon the same issue-- I won't open a new thread since this one isn't really resolved. I can appreciate those suggesting Tubedigger , however it's a paid option and only supports windows. Furthermore it's utterly lazy. Running things in CL is far better.

It attaches a cookie, so perhaps that can be used?

To make matters worse though, the websocket-key resets every so often. And when you peek at the messages a different message is being sent every so often to receive the new bytes. Perhaps what is required is for someone who is good with javascripts handling of websockets.

If you can stream, you can capture you just need the right auth.

Hi everyone, It's 28/01/2024 already, I'm not quite sure if the solution for this has been found, but I've got 1 that works.
Since you guys here are all advanced user, and my English is not good for all the details, I'll just write the simple things.
Basically, it's a go-around way to get the problem solved:

- Instead PC, I've used Android (on my phone, I have not tested it on Android emulators)

- I used UC Browser for Android, here's the link for the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UCMobile.intl&referrer=utm_source%3D...180604brand001 . It's free with in-app advertisement.
- Just browse to the site with Abyss/ Hydrax embedded videos, click Play.

- It will try to open new tabs with advertisements, close them and retry playing on the main site, advertisements will re-open for more 2-3 times, keep closing them, within a few seconds of this annoying steps, the main video will finally play.

- Once it play, notice the download (down arrow) button, click on and download the file !

- Once it downloaded, it already is mp4 format! Also, you can see the details/ original link of the file with UC Browser, just go through in-app menus and features.(see attached images)

Well, I hope this will help the OP, since it works well for me.

I've tried with the UC Browser PC on my laptop, but since I'm still running on the old Win7, Adobe Flash Player & new version of HTML issues keep on happening, so I just gave up. Guess I'll try again when I have a new laptop with Win 10.

This is the case for me. I'm a 38 guy just finding ways to download old good movies for my son, lots of them are streaming on Abyss/Hydrax server now, so, one leads to another and get me here. The OP doesn't have the answer yet, but it give me the will to keep on finding. Thinking that nowadays with all the Tiktok and Elon Musks .. bla bla.. stuffs, the nerds & geeks community still digging ways to solve every days tech-problems, same like 20 years ago. That's just awesome !

Click the Websocket filter to find the videocdn URL. You might have to wait for the connection to expire, the site will reconnect and the URL will show up here. `https://sfbhnfiy1.globalcdn39.one/`

Looking at the [player .js](https://iamcdn.net/players/bundle.min.js) [(archive)](https://web.archive.org/web/20240314125811/https://iamcdn.net/players/bundle.min.js) We can find the different video sources.

The video file name `ce0f5de002c90461a9` is 360p
