As far as I can tell, the only difference between those is the session id. And that changes every time you change quality in the player. So if you manually change quality, or if it auto adjusts from one setting to another, you'll see several license calls. But in terms of getting keys, you can use any of them.

Sorry, I just realized you're asking about the manifest not the license. The mpd on youtube is kind of hidden away and using yt-dlp is by far the easiest method of extracting it.

I followed those links and TPD-Keys generated working keys!
As far as trying to get HD keys for newer videos, TPD-Keys doesn't seem to do anything differently than GetWVKeys. For some videos, both generate two keys. For others, both generate three keys.
I assume it's due to how some HD videos might be L1 (example) while others (the ones where three sets of keys are generated) are L3 (example). The easiest way to tell which will generate all three keys is to load a video in Chrome on Windows and it'll have HD resolutions available. If it doesn't, it's probably L1 and there's nothing to do.

The first key worked successfully! I tested it with the 1080p WEBM / VP9 file and decrypted it with Shaka Packager. Worked perfectly.
How did you obtain that third key? I've used three different key scripts and all of them are only generating two keys for that video but three keys for the other example. I thought that it had to do with mobile vs. desktop so I made sure all the scripts used headers, cookies, json data, etc. from my phone yet it didn't change anything. -
Now I'm really curious as well. I feel like it could possibly work with data from an android device, but what do I know. Would love to see how it's done.

I use the python script that stabbedbybrick posted, but it returns only three keys for video decrypting. What should I do to decrypt audio? Do I have to modify the json request to https://www.youtube.com/youtubei/v1/player/get_drm_license in headers.py or there is something missing in the code that stabbedbybrick posted? -
I fixed the issue with audio decryption myself - for some reason mp4decrypt is unable to decrypt m4a audio streams from youtube, even though the decryption keys are valid (many thanks to stabbedbybrick for the python script), please use shaka-packager to decrypt audio.
For dumping cdm private key I used Android 9 from Android Studio since I don't have an android phone. -

hey all, im 99% im doing something wrong
so i have eme logger kicking out keys that are short and pssh that apparently dont exist i made a custom python script to pull the json for the license but again that seems like it is kicking out strings that dont seem to match anything this thread is showing..
for example
there is no cenc other than the listed variables there at the top (no key or anything just defines the cenc) so i have looked for all eme and went into those to check them.

so what would be the next step / what one to use to figure it out.. ive done channel 4 decryption manually in the past using livecat to get the mpd and using cdrm to get the decyption keys

I've read through the threads here and used the EME logger to get the PSSH:

but the various scripts I've tried to run to get the keys output these, none of which work to decrypt any quality video, even SD:

Link to video please, also it is needing you to download the correct stream for the decryption to work.. usually SD quality only stream for paid content (not always the case but generally a rule of thumb) also how are you downloading the video streams(to rule out corruption)
