I bought a h.265 encoder and it has an advanced section in the encoder section, but no instructions on what the settings do.
The Manufacturer basically fobbed me off, saying that if I wanted to adjust the settings, I should already know what they do.
Someone in reddit told me about a couple of the settings, but I want to know what they are all for.
Casting my net far and wide so you may se this same Q in other forums.
Thank you.

What encoder is this and why did you buy it instead of using the free x265?

Free X265?
I wanted a small hardware device.
It's a URAY. HDMI 1080P h.264/h.265 encoder.
Looks nearly exactly like this but this has an audio in, where mine has a PSU in.

Oops I assumed you were talking a software encoder, makes sense now.
Some of the items can be found in the x265 doc, for example info about deblock. Look in here

Most of those settings have nothing to do with the h.265 encoding. They are mostly transport stream and network multiplexer settings.
