Hi,
sometimes yt-dlp quits because of timeout. Is it possible to save the number of downloaded segments into a file before it leaves? Or maybe it can save this info into a file every a few seconds?

the segments are normally combined back into a single file. You using just yt-dlp or yt-dlp with the aria2c flagOriginally Posted by blanc

Is that your first time using YT-dlp? You are aware of how hls-dash streams operate? Did you panic and stop the download? I'm going to guess you never let the download finish.
Do whatever it was you were doing, and wait till it's finished.
