  1. Hello,

Hoping someone is willing to help me with the following. I got a USB drive which contains a MPG file, and I think that somehow something got corrupt while dismounting the drive. The file doesn't play anymore. I copied the file to my local drive and tried converting it to several formats but the file doesn't show any video or audio anymore. Is there anything I can do to fix the corrupt file? This content of the video is very important to me.

  2. The most important first:
Do not perform any repairs on the usb drive.
Do not write to the usb drive.

Then you can try Recuva https://www.ccleaner.com/de-de/recuva to recover the mpg from the usb drive or, if it fails,
Testdisk https://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download to recover the mpg from the usb drive.

  3. IsoBuster might also help. I think there is a free/trial version.
