  1. I install the card and let it look for a driver on the disc I got with the PCTV card. While XP is installing the driver (4.2), it craps out and gives me an "invalid data" error. Any help appreciated.

  2. Hi--I just installed this card using WIN XP pro--I downloaded the drivers from Pinnacles web site-The version is 5.01--I didn't think the drivers on the CD were for XP only WIN2000. Everything is working fine even the remote. Check out the web site--Good luck Cweig

    Hi there,

Forget about the disc that came along with the card.

Goto pinnacle's homepage below and download the lastest drivers 5.01 for your card.

That may sort your problem out.

  4. I also have the 5.01 drivers. How do I install starting with these. It is an executable file. The OS shouldn't recognize it as a driver. I figured I had to install with included drivers and then update with 5.01.

  5. Hi--When I downloaded 5.1 from the web site I "saved to disk" in a folder I called PCTV in MY Documents so I would have it if I need to reinstall it. Then I just double clicked on the folder and the software installed. This is all I've used -nothing from the cd-and the card works great. Good luck--PS I have also read you might have problems if you have earlier versions still installed on your PC--so I would remove everything associated w/ PCTV PRO and start fresh w/ the 5.01
