I do not know enough about synching subtitles so here is my question.
I have one piece of video but the subtitle source from the same content is a bit different. And it came from a different source. What I think happened is there was a 1:23 min. introduction on one and not the other. So the Subtitle starts late. Please say again how I can reset the subtitle to Zero and recalculate everything. It may be possible to do this with synchronize but I only
attempted that one time.
I will search what I can as well.

Figure out exactly how much time you need to subtract. In Subtitle Edit load your subtitle files and select Sycnronization -> Adjust All Times... Enter the time you calculated. Be sure "All Subitles" is selected. Press Show Earlier.

Toolbar: Synchronization/ Adjust All Times (Show earlier/later)
Type 00:01:23.000 in the timecode window and click show earlier.

Thanks for answering.
I was just slow in answering back that I was able to get it:
First make the new start time at 00:00:00 like you said.
Then at the first good dialog I found set that and recalc what follows. I'm just not adept at changing the options.
