  1. I am a newbie as far as MakeMKV is converned.

    When converting a DVD to mkv I proceed as follows:
    Launch MakeMKV
    File open and browse to DVD (on HDD) select VIDEO_TS and then VIDEO_TS.IFO
    So: X:\DVDMovieName\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO
    Then create the .mkv
    I guess that is the right way, at least the output is Okay.

    However, the output then reads: C1_t00.mkv
    Later I rename that file to how it should read.

    In settings general advanced (expert) the output file name reads:
    Code:
    {NAME1}{-:CMNT1}{-:DT}{title:+DFLT}{_t:N2}
    (which is the default)

    Q: is there a way to have some sort of 'parent' folder naming?
    e.g. where
    Parent1 = DVDMovieName
    Parent2 = VIDEO_TS

    Thanks!

  2. Solved, what I had in mind seems not to be possible
    Manually add name in the main window, below properties, name box.
