    So, I got sent a video file about 10 yrs ago and it's driven me nuts because I suspect that the corruption is correctable. The attached image is a frame sample of said video. Any pointers would be useful if available. Ot was originally emailed from a Blackberry to me in a .3gp format, still have the original email file download
    Have tried several conversion attempts. Hex editor shows a different file header from other videos sent by same sender on same device.

    Open the file in mediainfo, select text view,
    post all the info here

    Play with it in AVISynth, using different framesize expectations (esp. non-standard, odd-numbered sizes). Like, assume it is a framesize of 23 x 3501, or something.
    I had a similar issue to this in the early 2000s with some mpeg1 files (IIRC?) and that method was the best effort. It wasn't great, but at least it was a viewable image when finished.
