  1. I get this message when trying to stream certain videos from Youtube using PotPlayer (File > Open > Open URL...). Is there a way to bypass this without downloading the video?

  3. dogeboy: Maybe you have to sign into YouTube and then try streaming the video. It could be age restricted.

  4. yt-dlp can stream directly to a player (rather than saving to a file). I've done so with VLC:

    Code:
    yt-dlp --no-check-certificate "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsuUvjMxTXg" -o - | "G:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -
    It may work with other players too.

    Yes the video is age restricted, that's the whole point. I am logged in, not sure what that would do regardless. Is PotPlayer reading my browser cookies?
