  1. I've tried and tried and tried to get awesome looking home video on a CDR from my miniDV recorder and have failed. I use my Canon ZR30MC to shoot my home video via FireWire capturing with Prem6. Then I use TMPGEnc to convert but can't get my .mpg to turn out right. I've reviewed several pages of posts to no avail....please don't give me explanations...I need exact TMPGEnc settings to get good XSVCD mpgs. Mainly CBR vs another setting....and should I use Non-Interlaced vs Interlaced and which tab should say what. I've searched the net looking for templates that cover AVI to SVCD using TMPGEnc and nothing!

    Please Help,
    Joe

  5. Look, it's all I can do to keep from calling you an idiot! I said I need templates or settings for .avi to MPEG2 using TMPGEnc!!!!!!!! Have you looked at the list of templates....THESE are not for MPEG2 720x480 XSVCDs! The majority are for VCDs 352x240!! BUT forget I even asked because I FOUND the settings I need from a last ditch trial and error.
Y'know, I posted this in the "Newbie Conversion" Forum just to stay away from sarcastic remarks like yours. I wanted helpful responses...I reviewed as much stuff on this site as I could before I did post. Please, leave your attitude at home next time. If you didn't intend on coming across that way, careful of the 'face' you post next time because that's the feeling I got when reading it. Believe it or not, I've done my homework on this stuff but, apparently, not everyone is as good as you and before you give out info, check it! Because I asked for XSVCD.
I may reconsider placing any further posts.
