These strange phenomenons only happen on MPEG-1 encoding for me. On my player, they are represented by strange, random audio/video sync problems. On my brothers player, they rear their ugly head in the form of beeping noises (that's where i think the name 'blip' comes from).
What I want is for someone to shed some light onto why this only happens to me in MPEG-1. I use TMPG and have tried everything from compliant VCDs to XVCDs, with the same results. My MPEG-2 conversions don't have blips in them as I have previously mentioned
I still like MPEG-1 and I'm not ready to give up on it yet.![]()
