    I know that you cannot simply hook a vcr to a dvd player and record a dvd onto a tape because of copyright protection. Is there anyway around that? Could I hook my DV camera into the dvd player and record into DV, then transfer onto VHS? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

    My digital camcorder would detect the copyright signal and shutdown and not allow you to copy a DVD or video tape that has a copyright signal.
