I am trying to make a VCD. Im using a WinTv Go card, Virtualdub, and TMPEG. I was told that to make a great looking VCD you need to capture at 640x480 and then resize it to 320x240. How do you resize? Is it done after I have captured or is it done while capturing? I found in the filters where you can resize, so I tryed it and I set it to 320x240 but it still captured at 640x480. Or do you resize after you have captured the AVI? any help is appreciated.

After you have captured your video or movie then just use tmpeg to encode to vcd or svcd. You don't have to resize in v-dub. The encoding part of tmpeg will take care of that just by selecting the template in which you want to use. Better yet just you the project wizard.

One more thing. When I did capture at 640x480 and I played the AVI back with Widows Media Player the sound was fine but the picture was just a bunch of stills. I mean it was real choppy. Does this make any sense? After I capture to 640x480 I should then deinterlace it right? And then use TMPEG to encode.
