    why does tmpgenc not recognize the mpeg 2 files that are captured with mmc 7.6???????????????

    Have you changed the file extention to .mpg from .mp2?

    yes i did i get the error message "can not be opened or unsupported"?????????????

    never mind got it. changed the file extension and used stinky's tool to remove the mpeg 2 encoder in tmpgenc and then reinstall it.
