I am trying to digitize the family vhs colection and I was following the great guide over at https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/is6hml/the_ultimate_vhs_capture_guide/?u...eb2x&context=3 but I have run into a problem. During the capture the video will jump back and forth by several frames continuously. My setup currently is JVC HR-9500U → svideo →dazzle dvd recorder → virtualdub. I tested all the parts and they all work correctly. The vhs player plays the tap back correctly on tv, capture card can display the vhs play fine (though i dont have many composite or svideo things to test it with). Its just when I capture. Is this a tbc problem? The JVC HR-9500U I have has a time corrector in it and I made sure it was on but still have the problem. Do I have to get another tbc? Attached in this post is a test tape i am using to get all the kinks out before i get the family tapes (yes there is no audio, that is on purpose).
