I recently got a brand new computer with a WinTV capture card. Been capturing files ever since and converting them to SVCD. Since i like to keep the stuff i capture, i'm always aiming for picture quality, which means large mpeg files.
Now here's the question...
Been searching with a magnifying glass for a program that can split my mpeg files according to a specific filesize. I don't care if a program can split a file after 35 minutes. I wan't to split it after 700 Mb or whatever i can fit onto my CD-R. Please tell me such a program exists and where i can find it.

Think you can do it with vcd cutter
open film and devide clip by 2 (or how many you want) you get clips of more or less equal size -
bbmpeg, get it in the tools section.
If your making a svcd tell it to cut at about 790MB's for an 80 min cdr and 730 for a regular cdr. This will totally fill the cdr. -
Thanks. Actually i had tried bbmpeg before but couldn't get it to work (must have been some malfunction between the keyboard and the operators chair :) ). It all work just like i wanted it now.
