I've been struggling with this for months: I open an .srt file in Subtitle Edit, make my corrections, then I want to save the result as an .ass file with my preferred ASS Style for opening in Aegisub for further work. That all works, but the resulting subtitle file is in an unwanted style that I set up (somehow) a couple of years ago, but I can't remember how. There's an workaround in which I select all the text and convert it to my desired style, BUT...
... While that's fine for one or two subtitle files, I'm now about to embark on a project with about 70 files and I don't want to be forced to go through all that falderal seventy times! So what I'm looking for is how to permanently change the default ASS style that Subtitle Edit sets up when I save the .ass file. As I said above, I've done it before, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it again.
Thanks!
