    As per title.
    Plus, does it support PCM audio, or only AC3?
    I remember a thread where me and other prople tried to get ffmpeg to encode D-VHS compliant stream to record it with CapDVHS onto tape and ffpeg couldn't do MPEG-TS with PCM audio, the output didn't have audio track.

    If it's a US or a Japanese model it will not play PAL tapes, analog or digital alike. Not sure about the PCM part, look up the user manual, it should tell you if it does.
