Hi Guys,
I'm having problems with certain VCR tapes I've got. I can capture in MJPEG with most tapes and get excellent results (after months of tinkering and upgrading my system). Normally I drop about 2 frames an hour. However with particular tapes I drop hundreds of frames within the first few seconds.
These tapes are pre-recorded tapes, so they're not bad quality, and other pre-recorded tapes allow me to capture fine, so it's really puzzling. The only thing I could say about them is that they appear to be all quite brightly lit and shot in a studio environment, rather than on film.
Has anybody else experienced this, and do you know if there's anything I can do about it in Virtual Dub?
Thanks in advance!
