Is this Possible with my vcd rip?

I burned an mpeg movie to vcd via nero (vcd) twice...
First time was burned at 8x speed (max) and the sound was totally out of sink on my dvd player.


Second time was burned at 2x or 4x cant remember but it was the slowest speed possible and the audio was perfect it wasn't out of sync like burning at high speed...

The audio was insync like it was on the computer...

can anybody tell me if i solved my own problem, and what migh have caused it?

Did you rip the movie yourself?... if so what did you use?, Did you download it? (could be a PAL/NTSC thing). We need more info...

for standalone dvd players, don't burn at higher than 4x...this is most likely because standalone dvd players have a hard time reading cd-r's burned faster than 4x...perhaps it's a difference in lasers, etc....

of course, some ppl have said that they burned at 8x w/ no problems in their standalones, so it could just vary from player to player

it must have something to do with the individual player and/or CD writer and/or media. I've burned movies as high as 12x with my HP burner(on cheapie CDR media) and 10x on CDRW media, and have never had any problems with my Pioneer DV525

fantomlord, ya...i got a pioneer dv333 and the dual-laser pickup sure comes in handy 8)

it could pick up stuff my cd-rom couldn't
