I recently started transfering some of my VHS footage to VCD. The only problem right now is I have a messed up vcr which doesnt help but I will be getting a new one this week to clear that up. Anyways I have a few questions for some of you that have been doing this for a while. Im wondering what the best capture programs are? I tend to use WINVCR to capture mpgs and things work fine with it. I also have ATI TV WONDER but I dont use it for mpgs because the sound never comes out right. I have StudioPCTV Pro as well but I hardly use it because it doesnt always cooporate. What I wanna know is how I can make the size of capturing larger to make the quality better or does that make a difference? Ive watched some of my VCDs at a friends house (My current dvd player doesnt support them) and they look like VHS quality (depending on how the original footage is it came out the same way) sometimes theres pixelation on the screen but not that much. It also looks dramatized like it was filmed which looks cool to me anyways. Also, I wanna know what are some of the easiest ways to design menus for these VCDs. I would love to have interactive menus and nice looking ones instead of it just playing in the dvd player. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah one more thing....when I try to convert something like a concert I always have to pause in between tracks and that creates a sort of gap/pause and doesnt make it run smoothly can you do anything about that? Thanks!
