  1. Is there a way to play 4k netflix streams on a PC as opposed to a 4k smart tv? I do have a 4K subscription so it shouldn't be much of a problem

    Let Google be your friend.

No browser support except for Microsoft Edge or NetFlix's own app.

Assuming that your PC hardware, graphics and monitor also supports 4K

You can set your video to be at 4k but you will only get the same dpi as before so no better resolution as compared to what your pc is set to.

  4. Yes but Netflix's compression under 1080p is awful

  5. Also the internet did help. Basically you get into account settings and set quality to highest. And you have to use edge and shit. Shame they limited it and made it impossible to utilise 4k resolution on any other browser

I watch netflix on a 70 inch 4k tv and 1080p looks fine to me.

Not all shows are 4k,there's still lots of 1080p shows and some 480p,if you have a 4k or higher netflix tells you the resolution.
