try clearing your browser cookies or reset your browser settings back to default, restart your browser and retry youtube again and see if you get sound.
might also try a different browser.

I continue without sound in Youtube.
I read that the cause can be Adobe Flash Player.

But to install this free program it appears to create an account and to fill the respective place with the number of credit card ( !!! ). What for? I don't have
a card credit! What can I do to install the Adobe Flash Player?

    Thanks for any advise.

  9. I doubt if any YouTube video is still using Adobe Flash Player.

My understanding is all YouTube videos are HTML5.
This is a YouTube link that checks your browser for being up to date.
It used to be for showing any problems with HTML5.
I hope that is still what it is testing for.
    https://www.youtube.com/supported_browsers

    Then this test:
    https://html5test.com

This is a basic video using Chrome (I don't use Chrome but this video assumes everyone does.
You have probably already tried all that is in it but in case I'm sending a link.
You might be able to see what it shows even without audio,
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5Tdsk0X5yU

It is odd that the problem is YouTube only.
Maybe caused by a browser update also.

I executed the HTML5test and I don't know to interpret this:

From the result menu in the section AUDIO all the lines are YES except the following that are NO

    Speech recognition NO
    Dolby Digital support NO
    Dolby Digital Plus support NO

And now, Cholla , this tells anything? What I do?

  12. Speech recognition NO
The HTML5 Speech Recognition API allows JavaScript to have access to a browser's audio stream and convert it to text.

    Dolby Digital support NO
    Dolby Digital Plus support NO
These are both Audio so if you have a PC that is capable of playing either your browser won't play these audio formats.

I use Opera browser & FireFox both play YouTube Audio fine.
I has the same for Audio as your test shows.

If the videos at other sites play HTML5 then that is not the problem.

I was just letting you know that lack of Adobe Flash player is not the problem.

If I find some more information I will post it.

I continue without sound in Youtube.

But now there is another conclusion:

My browser is Mozilla Firefox. But with your advises I tried Chrome and with this browser finallly I have sound. So the problem is with Firefox! Why will it be?
What can I do to fix the problem with Firefox?

    Replace firefox with WATERfox
Seriously now, this is what I have done and it has worked great thus far.
I don't use the stupid Chrome BUT sometimes I (have to) use Vivaldi, which sucks much less than Chrome itself.

  15. I use Opera which is a Chrome knock off more or less.

I also use Firefox but I use the portable version.

If I had the installed version of Firefox & that is what I wanted.
I would completely uninstall FireFox do a cleaning with a software like CCleaner.
    Reboot.
    Then reinstall FireFox.

I have two Firefox knockoffs as well.
    CyberFox & Palemoon portables.
Neither have been updated for a long tome so I doubt they would work very well.

Water Fox is one of this type I guess.
I never had any problems with a Fire Fox knock off so try WaterFox if you like.
    It is probably OK.

are you using the latest version of firefox ?? start firefox - click the 3 hamburger lines menu in the upper right hand corner -
click help - about firefox - should be version 104.0.1
might also try doing a "refresh setting" in firefox - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems

It's easy to create a new profile in Firefox,
    Code:
    Firefox -p
from the run box. Might save a reinstall

  21. The uninstall & reinstall should have fixed any corrupted files in FireFox.

I did not know about davexnet's solution but i would give it a try.
I am making a note of it if I need it sometime.

I guess it is possible even with an uninstall FireFox leaves some registry settings behind.
Those may be the cause but I have not looked into that.

    You could try this:
Using FireFox Portable to test with.
    https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

It will create a folder on the drive you execute it on.
    It does not install.

So can be deleted when you finish testing.
If you don't want it or just move it to a flash drive.

    You could check this:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk. More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox.

    (2) In the search box in the page, type or paste mediakey and pause while the list is filtered

    (3) Double-click the media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled preference make sure it is set to true
