    I have TWO .mp4 files that I need to merge together. One contains the video (with no sound) and the other contains the audio (with no video). Back in the day used to be able to use TMPGEnc to merge video/audio together but not done any video conversion for quite a while hence the question. I know .mp4 is supposed to be a container that contains audio and video so how can I put the two files together in the same container so the video plays with the audio track?? Tried Google but everything wants me to jump through hoops. Can't be this difficult!

    Drag the two files into MKVToolnix GUI and remultiplex to an MKV file

  4. If you want a mp4 output, take clever FFmpeg-GUI, Multiplex section

  5. $ cat mylist.txt
    file '/path/to/file1'
    file '/path/to/file2'
    file '/path/to/file3'

    $ ffmpeg -f concat -safe 0 -i mylist.txt -c copy output.mp4

    The only "stupid" about this question was that you did not mention anything about it already in the title of this thread...

    @s-mp: No, this will not work. Not at all.
