do you have eme logger installed? if not, get greasemonkey or tampermonkey or whatever similar extension there is for your browser and then add eme logger to it.

I have used this tutorial as a basis in an attempt to download some DRM protected videos (free to access); however, I got stuck at 2:32 at the point where mdp is searched in the network tab. I have Tampermonkey + eme logger installed and I have spend hours reading myself through this forum in the search for an answer, but it seems like everyone here already knows what they need to get the mdp (I feel like I am missing an extension or a script) which is why I am here.
I hope someone is willing and able to help me.

Some can be slightly different. But most of them are like that.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking here.
For me, it's better to always download manually. For others it's easier to use GUI software like Streamfab or web sites.
Sometimes, for some content, you are limited to lower resolutions (because most of us only have L3) and sometimes Streamfab can get a better resolution.
Sometimes you will get the same thing.
So, the answer to the question is - depends.
