I own a ATI AIW Radeon
I use Windows ME using a P3 700.
192 MB of Ram.
After installing DirectX 8.1 I used the easy install that came on the CD that came in the box. This was MMC7.1 version. I had no problems at all from the word go. Clear pic and no sound problems.
I then downloaded the newer MMC7.6-noDVD with the display driver and TV-CAPTURE-WDM-6-13-10-5118.exe.
I got a picture that seems to be out of sinc and all the colours have gone or out of whack and have lines through the picture.
I uninstalled the display drivers and MMC 7.6-noDVD as explained on ATI.com
I reinstalled MMC 7.1 and the the CD that came with the capture card but received two messages. 1> Whenever I Bootup I receive "ATI Launchpad ATISSERVE failed to provide required interfaces"
2> When I try and start TV I receive "ATIMMC.exe cannot be found on C:"
I attempted a few reinstalls of both versions following the install/uninstall proceedure, but to no avail. I eventually Formatted the harddrive and reinstalled Windows ME, DirectX 8.1 and Office 2000.
I reinstalled MMC 7.1 and although receive no messages I still have the sinc problems as before!
So what am i doing wrong? Could one of my other programs that was on the PC have what is missing? I am sick of poking in the dark so can someone shed some light on the subject before i bust something.
Thanks from Man who is running out of hair
