Hi,
I can play the TV on my screen, but when I hit the record button, the software locks up. I can clear it by terminating the software, but it won't record. All the tests I could find seem to pass, so I'm not sure what's up. I've tried a couple other programs and they've had problems too. The included ULead software bogged down to the point of almost locking up, and another one (Video Wave III I think) complained that it wasn't getting time stamps and refused to record anything.
I've tried reseating the card a few times and reinstalling everything a few times. ATI hasn't responded yet of course. Any thoughts? Is it broken?
Brian

What resolution are you capturing? If its 480x480, 640x480, or 720x480 MMC 7.1 will freeze when you attempt to begin your capture. Try capturing at 352x480 and see if it solves your problem. If you want to use the resolutions mentioned above simply to a capture for a few seconds using the standard VCD setting, you don't have to save the resulting file. Then switch to your 480x480 resolution or any of the others.
