  1. Is there a way to restrict Subtitle Edit to a single instance? Without realizing it, I have often started an EDIT instance for the same SRT file.
When I eventually discover the error, I don't know which one has the changes I want to keep.

  3. I've adopted my own brute force method to accord some protection. Before I take a break in an EDIT session,
I insert my own marker entry into the SRT file. It can be anything, just so long as it is unique and instantly
recognized. When I resume the session, I remove the marker and SAVE the file. If the marker isn't there
then something is wrong. Either another instance is running, or system may have crashed during EDIT session.
I wish there was a better method. I would prefer that only one instance of SUBTITLE EDIT be running.
