  1. I have a video_ts folder with dvd9 VOBs in it.
    It seems all of the software I tried to losslessly extract the whole main feature. Runs into problems. MakeMKV simply gets stuck halfway. Another (forgot its name, Foxy ripper?) simply discards a certain scene. Which also happens is the scene that has distortion/artifacts in part. My question. Could it be that a video_ts could still need proper decrypting?
    If yes how do I go about it now?

    (I didn't rip it to my harddrive. It is dvd9 it says, and 6.7gb in whole)

    Start with the original DVD, put it in the device and use MakeMKV on that.

    Unencrypted dvd's on the computer should play properly if dropped on mpc-hc, mpc-be, or VLC for example

    With that symptom? No. If the video isn't decrypted you get a very distorted picture for the whole video. What you are seeing is a bad spot on the disc.

    If you downloaded the iso then you are out of luck getting it fixed.
