If i buy a sony dvpns 700 multiregion will this clear macrovision, also will this play cd-rs of manys unbranded and brand cd-rs with the dual laser pick-up. Please help.

btw..just a heads up..sony's are pretty crappy (despite the brand name) in terms of compatibility w/ non-standard stuff (i.e. xVCDs) and SVCDs

multi-region will not clear macrovision, it needs to be stripped away w/ a ripper....multi-region or region-free only allows u to play different region dvds on your player, but doesn't mean you can copy to VHS
