    which dimension is correct to crop, any suggestion please? i am new with video cropping and editing, so i am looking for suggestion. i assume i cannot crop 958. top side crop either 60 or 62

    What are you planning on using this for? That will determine whether there are technical restrictions on the cropping or whether you need to crop at all.

  3. i would like to keep the file to play almost all kind of devices. i cannot remember but somewhere i think i read that some device cannot handle odd number pixel properly.

    Then there's no reason to crop. Leave it alone at 1920 x 1080 and encode it as an h.264 mp4. That's about as close to universal as you're going to get.

  5. If you want the widest compatibility avoid mod2 sizes. Use Mod4 or higher. YV12 (most video, YUV 4:2:0) cannot be cropped mod1. I'd copy that video to 1920x964.

    there is at least 2px black border top and bottom. and right side 2px border. any particular reason to keep that?

    1920 mod 4 = 0; 964 mod 4 = 0
