I've downloaded and installed VidCutter (v6.0.5.1) on Linux Mint as my first attempt at editing a video.

I want to be able to crop a video. First of all I hope I've used the correct terminology?
Say for example I have a landscape orientated video and want to be able to highlight an area in portrait in the middle of that video image and delete the rest of the surrounding video.

I have only started using VidCutter today. Having said that I tried to google how to crop part of a video with VidCutter. The result I came across listing it didn't seem to explain it at all.

Is it possible to crop a video with VidCutter?

Vidcutter is just for straight cutting and joining, you want a video editing program such as davinci resolve for what you want to do,there are other programs similar to this that you can google.

Thanks very much for the suggestion.
