Power Point Slides for Camtasia

Hi!

I use Power Point Slides that are saved as .JPG files and, then, imported to Camtasia to create videos for YouTube.

Right now, the Slides are 10 inches by 5-5/8 inches and are saved at 96 PPI.

What Size (in inches) and what Resolution (in PPI) should I be using?

From where you're starting, the simplest thing to do is double the ppi to 192. That will export a 1920x1080 (pixel) image which is a standard YouTube HD widescreen.
(Likewise you could double your slide size to 20 x 11.24 x 96ppi)

In video, ppi is meaningless, that's for print. Pixel count is what matters.

There is no absolute right answer. For example, I usually export powerpoint slides oversized so I can do moves within them in Camtasia (or other editing software.)

Always save your PPT slides as PNG, not JPG. You won't regret it.
