the output video no-black part has top and bottom few pixel more crop than the original video. and i don't see and black border right side of the original video. i think it's about PAR/DAR/ASPECT ratio issue or something. any suggestion what am i doing is wrong?

    1. How do you expect anyone to be able to distinguish a border (one that handbrake has actually determined) when the picture is so dark ?

    2. You are wasting your time with the crop even if you cancel the right-side element. You have an AR greater than 16:9. By all means crop the letter-boxing away but once you play the movie full-screen the player will bring them back (unless you want a distorted view)

  3. It has nothing to with aspect ratios -- it just miscalculated. Just select Custom and set the cropping yourself. It's YV12 video so it must be cropped mod2.

  4. @DB83 idk but i think they did pretty much good job though, almost perfect. i tried on virtualdub but it seems the crop number which handbreak used, may correct.

@jagabo if 16:9 video has top and bottom black border. will be there any beneficial to crop the top and bottom black bar?

Removing black bars allows the player to optimize the picture for any display aspect ratio. For example, if you leave the black bars and view on a 21:9 display the player will add black bars to the left and right to fill the sides of that display -- you'll end up with black bars on all four sides.
