  1. TUBE4
A ‘SUPER SIMPLE’ downloader, featuring eight independently threaded downloaders.
    TUBE4 is a front-end (GUI) to ‘yt-dlp’.
Developed in Windows 11, Windows 10 should work, I can't test.

    DOWNLOAD: TUBE4 (beta 11)

    ***Please Note:***
If you have 'beta9/beta10' installed, this installer will automatically remove it first, no need to remove manually.
Other, previous betas, please uninstall first.

    USAGE:
    1. Right-click your desired internet video/link from web page, copy link.
    2. Click the ‘LINK’ button within TUBE4.
    3. Select required format (4K, 2K, 1080, 720, 480, AUDIO).
Select ‘MP4’ if you only want to download to MP4.
Select ‘CAPTIONS’ if you require captions with your download.
    4. DOWNLOAD
*NOTE 1* If your desired format is not available, the next ‘best’ will be downloaded.

    WHAT I DO/DON’T CARE ABOUT:
I just care about if TUBE4 works as intended. Please report any bugs. Give suggestions – thanks.
I don’t care about problems that are nothing to do with this program. (‘yt-dlp’ site problems/access - It’s out of my hands. Nothing I can do).

    Have a play, have fun.

  4. Thanks for trying guys.

    New update.

    0.8.1.0

Quite a few backend updates based around:
    1. Tidied Up the notification of errors, warnings, and logging routines.
    2. Fixed some potential problems with the notification dialogs.

  6. New Update: v0.8.2.0

Improved the cancel download code to use a more natural method to correctly cancel the process.
This is something that has bugged me for years but have never gotten round to finding a solution.
Eventually found a way to correctly cancel an external process without abruptly forcing it to stop.

    Looks nice!

The auto installation of .NET 6 didn't work for me in Windows 10. It just opened a link to .NET 5. After I installed .NET 6 SDK(from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download ) manually it worked fine.

  10. TUBE 4 updated to v0.9.0.0 beta 9

Updated 'yt-dlp' to latest release (2022.05.18).
Add two more independent downloaders, now eight.
Changed a lot of the interface, now more inline with my other program, 'TOR4'.
    -reduced height of downloader panels.
-moved title name to a tooltip over the thumbnail.
-added dedicated display blocks for download rate, ETA, and progress.
    -et cetera, et cetera...
Huge amount of internal changes, too many to list, sorry.

    ***Please Note:***
I messed up a little with previous installer, if you have an older version installed, please remove (uninstall), BEFORE, you install this version.

Hi, didnt find any problems with it, you got (in my opinion) everything correctly...for example disabling mp4 and selecting audio will download the best audio (vorbis), enabling mp4 and audio will download aac, it works just fine, complete and minimalist....

as far as the GUI goes here's my suggestions.
1- allow thh user to resize the gui window, on my 45' monitor looks small.
2- too many words on the Window
3- make it start with one downloader instance and let user add more instances...or perhaps let the user define the initial state ...max or minimal look.

just small stuff, it works fine for me, if i can nitpick i find the window small and too many "wording"

  14. Thanks for trying Ricardo. I'm happy that it appears to be working for you as expected.

I've got to admit, I was a little startled when I saw your screenshots at first, I thought that's how it looked on your system. After reading I realised you were just giving some suggestions, haha, you even had time to edit the screens with your ideas.

Yeh, I have no idea what it would look like on such a large screen, I only have access to laptops/notebooks, so a very different look I guess. Because of the eight repeated panels, repeated wording, I agree it can be a bit much, too many words. Some time ago, some apps I developed didn't have any wording on the buttons, people moaned, or rather suggested, I put words on buttons, it's kind of stuck since then. I could probably reduce some wording on the first two buttons, drop the 'DOWNLOAD FORMAT' text on each downloader, and finally enlarge the button text. I'll have a mess around and see what ideas I can come up with.

video.baba that was me "nitpicking", its fine as it is, i prefer the wording instead of dropboxes, in my opinion just enlarging the text size would be enough.

    I know

However, the text does need enlarging, I'll do it before next beta. Probably won't be until next week now.

  17. 0.9.1.0 (beta 10)

No major changes within this update, mostly centred around:
    XAML configurations and tidy-up.
Enlarging the text on various controls.
Adding more continuity between controls and app windows.

    No.
VBA32 is the most sophisticated, advanced and trusted antivirus on the market.
The other 61 antivirus companies are just falling behind. Eventually, they'll update their heuristics and definitions and catch the trojan, too.

There's no sarcasm in this post, not at all.

  20. As with many homebrew coding, we are not companies, we don't pay virus companies and/or for Microsoft Windows certificates. Your virus checking results are common, to be honest, it says more about the virus checking sites than the programs...

I suggest you contact security vendors "VBA32" and ask them why they flagged my program as "Trojan.Chapak" when it is not. Ask for details, evidence. I really am curious... (not!)

  21. Update...

    0.10.1.0 beta 11
Completely changed the UI (rightly or wrongly...)
With this comes many internal changes - hopefully all still OK in terms of bugs.
    Updated 'yt-dlp' (2022.06.22.1)

Hi video.baba, any chance of a new version, the last one has expired today or perhaps a quick hack to disable the warning popup?

    thanks
