  2. You might want to post the error message and what software you're using to do the erasing.

  3. I hope you are using approved media. Some DVD-RW media do not work in the 104. Use only Pioneer, TDK, Verbatim or Mitsui. Most of the other brands you will get errors.

    Baloney.

I use Princo generic DVD-RW (which I'm sure isn't an approved media) to test all my DVD compilations. If they turn out bad, then I simply erase them (I use NERO 5.5.8.0). Sometimes they take a little "extra time" to erase, but they have never failed to erase.

  5. SLK001,
Did you read the question? Sounds like you have the answer just continue to try to erase and you will eventually succeed. Of course when you get around to writing you might write a disk and not all your data will be there when you finish. I hope you are doing a data verification with Nero. The best bet is to use good media not that Princo crap.

    SLK001,

Yep, read the question and understood it fine. I have never had an erased disk fail on me the next time I recorded (a record is always preceeded by the erase cycle). I have only done a data verification once. Now I just take the disk to my DVD player and verify it there.

I was wary of these Princos, especially since my experiences with their DVD-Rs (all crap). But I am not any more. At $2.00 each, they are my best value in DVD-RW.
