DTSMA to AC3 -changeto bitdepth discrepancy.

hi, I have a little doubt which I can't solve by myself.

I convert a DTSMA to AC3, using useac3to, changing the duration, the log file says:

DTS Master Audio, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 48kHz
(core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 1509kbps, 48kHz)
Decoding with libDcaDec DTS Decoder...
Changing FPS from 23.976 to 24.000...
Remapping channels...
Encoding AC3 <640kbps> with libAften...
Creating file "\audio\_track2_[eng]_DELAY 0ms.dts_24p.ac3"...
The original audio track has a constant bit depth of 24 bits.
The processed audio track has a constant bit depth of 64 bits.
eac3to processing took 9 minutes, 1 second.
Done.

should I worry, add some command, about that 24/64 bits difference?

mediainfo shows the bit depth on dtsma files, but not on ac3..
how do I check the bitdepth of an ac3 file?
